iPhone 7 vs. Galaxy S7: Which One is the Best Smartphone?
Which smartphone is the best one by far between the new iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7? To get your answer, you need to check their comparisons.
These two big hit smartphones offer an excellent combination of hardware and software and at the same time better features and specifications too.
The recently unveiled iPhone 7 is a big challenge against Galaxy S7; however, which one is worth your money? To know, just read on the comparison of these 2 phones:
Performance:
Earlier this year, when Samsung launched Galaxy S7, it got good reviews. The smartphone is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
On the other hand, Apple has taken 2GB of RAM and the new iPhone 7 is powered by Apple’s new A10 Fusion CPU which is capable of giving high performance.
With its iOS software, Apple gives a smooth experience, whereas, with Google’s Android OS, Samsung doesn’t provide that as it’s still not tightly integrated.
Camera & Display:
If we judge on only specifications, then Galaxy S7 stands ahead of the iPhone 7 on both its built-in camera and display.
The iPhone 7 highlights a 4.7-inch screen with 1,334×750 pixel resolution display, whereas the Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch screen with a display resolution of 2,560×1,440 pixels. In fact, Samsung uses an AMOLED coating for making a better screen.
Both phones have a 12MP sensor camera with a video recording capacity in 4K; however, the iPhone 7 is having the better camera than the S7.
Battery:
Apple has not unveiled precisely the battery size of the iPhone 7. However, considering the RAM, screen and casing all same in the last year’s iPhone 6s, it is predicted that the battery will remain the same also in the iPhone 7, i.e. 1750mAh.
By comparison, Samsung loaded the S7 with an amazing 3,000mAh battery. For this battery life, you can use the phone for at least 24 hours.
Features:
When it comes to the big features, both phones are reasonably same. Both have fingerprint sensors to unlock them, both have all-metal bodies and both are waterproof as well.
However, there are many differences too. Firstly, Apple has dumped the 3.5mm headphone jack and so you will need to use lightning or wireless headphones or the bundled adaptor. Secondly, Samsung has added removable storage in the S7 which can extend the existing 32GB storage using a microSD card.
UK Price & Release Date:
Apple provides the SIM-free iPhone 7 in various configurations. The phone comes at an amazing price in the UK. Prices start for the least expensive 32GB option at £599 and then increase to £699 for the 128GB model and £799 for the 256GB model in the UK.
By comparison, Samsung offers Galaxy S7 at £569 for the 32GB model. So, if you are concerned about money, you should go with the Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S7 has been available for buying since 11th March 2016, whereas the iPhone 7 is presently available for order from today, ie. 16th September.
Final Verdict:
The Galaxy S7 already seems to be the better option. It has many similar features but comparatively a better screen also.
Apple’ hidden advantage is that its hardware and software are tightly integrated. Even, things like Siri and Apple Pay are also useful. If you want a sleeker but simpler phone, you must opt for iPhone 7.
However, if you value the greater durability and raw power at a better price, then it makes sense to go with the Samsung Galaxy S7. Checkout all other mobile offers in the UK.
