Priya Prakash Varrier finally speaks up on Sridevi Bungalow, Here’s what she said

Ever since the release of teaser-trailer for Priya Prakash Varrier’s upcoming movie ‘Sridevi Bungalow’, the actress has been in double controversy.

The upcoming movie seems to be based on the life of a very famous and well-known actress Sridevi who died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai.

After being dragged into the controversy that it’s a movie which she shouldn’t have signed as it might hurt the sentiments of Sridevi’s family members and fans, the news came out that Bonney Kapoor had sent a legal notice against the actress.

However, after giving the statement, it doesn’t look like she received any legal notice from Mr. Kapoor’s end. On the other hand, Priya also mentioned that the directors and makers of the movie will handle the legal proceeding for the movie as she is just doing her job and acting a particular role.

It’s been a month after the news of taking legal actions against Priya surfaced on the news channels. However, Priya came up with a full response in relation to her new film.

When being asked about how she is planning to proceed for the publicity of the movie and the fact that the movie is in controversy, Priya said, “I wouldn’t want my movie becoming a controversy. At the end of the day, everything is publicity. But still, I would rather stay away from the negativity. It’s up to the director and the producer to handle those issues. I am just playing the character that has been given to me.”

As of now, it looks like she said this just for the sake of saying. There are chances that the movie is actually what people are anticipating. But the actress had a clarification for this as well.

She added, ‘that is just an element that would make the audience want to watch the movie. So, that is just the director’s imagination and creativity. I wouldn’t want my movies to get into controversy.”

So, is the movie really not based on Sridevi’s life?

Unless the movie hits the box office and people watch it, no one can be sure about how the story goes. But this current controversy is clearly helping the movie gain a lot of free publicity.
